Thanks

Thank you for reading this book. And an even bigger thank you for paying for this book. And the biggest thank you for recommending it to your friends. And making them pay.

Some people would describe this book as a labor of love. Originally I was one of them. But then I read the definition of labor of love:

“A piece of hard work that you do because you enjoy it and not because you will receive money or praise for it, or because you need to do it.”

I did enjoy writing this. But only in hindsight. While writing it, it was more a labor of despair and anguish.

You know, like real life.

But I definitely did it also for money and especially praise. This book wouldn’t exist without me constantly craving praise. So first of all thanks to my parents.

Just kidding. You are great and I love you!

Next I want to say a big, big thanks to my wonderful girlfriend. Andrina, I simply couldn’t have done it without you.

From the bottom of my heart a thank you to all the people who supported my comedy career from the start: My agents Christa and Rainer. Without you I would have ended up being a hedge fund manager or something similar. So you are the reason I’m not a strain on the system.

I’m eternally indebted to my test readers Martina, Simon, Michelle, Chris and Chris and Frank. Your feedback was priceless, especially because I didn’t pay you anything for it. Thanks guys!

Also a huuuge thanks to Joel Dueck, who designed this site and did a phenomenal job.

After that a big shout out to the people I don’t know personally but contributed to this book by keeping me sane and/or entertained and/or informed and/or inspired:

The whole team of the wonderful YouTube-Boardgame-Channel “Shut Up and Sit Down”.

Stuart Goldsmith and his amazing “The Comedian’s Comedian” Podcast.

Matthew Butterick and his book “Practical Typography” who inspired me to publish this book as a website.
